SVALR — the worlds northernmost skincare focusing on a natural and effective routine

Svalrs logo draws inspiration from the topography of Hiorthfjellet, a mountain that symbolizes Longyearbyen, the brand’s home. The typography reflects fonts used on old maps, reinforcing the connection to history and place.

The website www.svalr.com borrows details from old maps and topographic drawings to tie in with the product design. The square product grid is based on map grid squares, and the footer is shaped after the information band you often see at the bottom of a map.

Using heritage photography from Svalbard to add a soft sense of nostalgia. The images sit naturally with the layout and type, and keep the identity close to the place it comes from.
